National Cancer Prevention Month

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

In 2016, over 1.6 million people were diagnosed with cancer and over 500,000 cancer-related deaths occurred in the U.S. alone. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death, world-wide, and new integrated treatments are being utilized to help combat its devastating effects. There are non-invasive treatments that are available. We are actively seeing results using hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) in conjunction with conventional treatments, including radiation and chemo-therapy, to attain optimal dosages for patients, stimulate tumor regression and reduce the side effects of treatments. Cancer thrives in hypoxic or low-oxygen environments and HBOT has been shown to increase these oxygen levels to weaken tumors and reduce their aggressiveness. Studies have demonstrated the benefits of HBOT for cancer with the following:

Reduce Tumor Aggressiveness with HBOT

  • Weakens Hypoxic Tumors
  • Targets Metastatic Tumors
  • Increases Reactive Oxygen Species Production
  • Amplifies Cancer Cell Death
  • Regresses Tumor Volume

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and the In-crease Natural Killer Cell Activity and Function

  • Reduces Radiation Therapy Side Effects
  • Decreases Chemotherapy Side Effects
  • Accelerates Post-Operative Healing & Pre-vents Infection
  • Reduces Chemo-Brain Syndrome Symptoms

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and the Enhancement of IV Cancer Treatments

  • Increases Intravenous Vitamin C Therapy Effect
  • Decreases Inflammatory Markers
  • Normalizes Intracellular Oxy-gen Levels
  • Stimulates Cellular Detoxification
  • Reduces Risk of Pathogenic Inflammatory-Related Tumors

Lecture Series at the Hyperbaric Oxygen Institute

We have announced our 2017 Lecture Series. There is no cost to attend any of the lectures, to help us plan better, we do ask you to reserve a ticket for the event. All events will be held at 6 Hughes in Irvine. Please come to the back of the building to the Oxygen Therapy Department.
